Aretha Franklin: The Story Of The Queen Of Soul
It does not matter who you are or where you are likely to have heard one or more of Aretha Franklin songs. Chance, to have had such a classic tone pleasurably in your head for hours. The Queen of Soul is in this sense, the people everywhere, and he’s heading out on the road this summer to millions of her fans another reason to care of the work.
Franklin was born in Memphis on March 25, 1942. After you move a little, his family settled in Detroit, where Aretha weeks. Was exposed to music at an early age and began to sing his father’s church. She will soon be a very popular member of the choir, and she made her first recording in 14 years.
Subsequently, the first recording, Franklin entered ‘adult’ almost immediately. He signed a record deal with Columbia Records and became a mother when she was 15, after her first son, Clarence, Jr., Franklin, was another son, Eddie, when she was 16.
At this point, Franklin had to decide – or to continue full-time mother, and his music career. He chose the latter, as her grandmother helped her care for the children, while he continued to record songs. Franklin married Ted White in 1962 and had another son, ‘Teddy’ White, Jr. in 1969.
He remained in Columbia until 1967, when he moved to Atlantic Records, and the results almost immediately thanks to the growth in his artistic freedom with the new label. Franklin dabbled in gospel, soul and blues music with themes, and several of his songs became top hits this time.

However, this was the R & B work earned him the nickname ‘The Queen of Soul’ in the 1960s. Franklin’s work on Atlantic Records was an international star, and several of his most famous songs, including Respect issued during this period.
Franklin went on to not only view, but the record, and his amazing career, the amounts available. He issued a total of 52 albums and 17 singles have reached the Top Ten in the U.S. Hot 100 singles chart.
Franklin, 17 Grammy awards in several categories, but it is far from her only entry into the list of his accomplishments. Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and was the second woman to gain entry to the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
The Queen of Soul has been acknowledged for more than a President of the United States. In 1999, President Bill Clinton awarded the National Medal of Arts, Franklin, and George W. President Bush awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Franklin in 2005.
All of these performances should make it clear that Aretha Franklin is a national icon. He is in the movies like The Blues Brothers in 1980, sang the national anthem before her adopted hometown of Detroit, Super Bowl XL.
